People do seem to have an almost need to believe that there is something to keep them going after death, I dont know if this should be labelled a tendancy to believe in gods or supernatural beings but maybe more of a hope that when we are faced with our own mortality we hope that we live on after death. Although in this day and age most people have more to occupy them or worry them on a more immediate level to keep them from worrying too much, if we all sat here with nothing to do we probably would start to think more about our limited life span.

Thats my thoughts anyway.....
